Studies on the Biological Characteristics of Predatory Bug Harpactor fuscipes

Development of predatory bug Harpactor fuscipes was observed with Spodoptera litura as prey for protecting and using natural enemies to control tobacco pests. The result showed that there were two life stages in H. fuscipes in Nanxiong, Guangdong, including egg, five nymphal instars and adult, live through the winter as adults. The bug grow and developed well under the temperature of 15-35 ℃, its developmental duration shortened with increasing temperature.
