The Progress in Research of Electronic Cigarette Safety

In recent years, electronic cigarette(ENDS)becomes increasingly popular, and more attention has been paid to the safety of electronic cigarette. To describe the research findings and provide basis for further study of electronic cigarette safety, this work summarized the recent research progress on health safety of e-cigarette appliances, e-cigarette aerosols, perfume materials in e-liquid, and influence of e-cigarette to smoking behavior. The transfer regularity of electronic cigarette materials to aerosol, the effects of different additives on human health after heating and the profound impacts of electronic cigarette on smoker's smoking behavior need further research. Meanwhile, the effective standards and tighter regulations for e-cigarette products are suggested to be formulated.
