Soil Ecological Suitability of Nicotiana tabacum in Guangdong Province

The soil environment and related factors have special effects on quality of the tobacco. Eco-suitability of tobacco was evaluated in this study from the perspective of soil ecological factors. Indicators of evaluation was selected from Ecocrop 1 database, the province's ecological characteristics of soil were analyzed by GIS spatial analysis technology in a GIS platform, and the suitability for Tobacco was comprehensively evaluated. The results showed that the actual tobacco planting counties of Guangdong Province matched the evaluation results, while approach used in this study could be used for new tobacco-growing region.
