    Occurrence and Control Technique of Tobacco Diseases and Insects Pests in Tobacco-growing Areas around Qingjing River

    • Categories of tobacco diseases and insects pests were investigated, and the application values of botanical pesticide and integrated control techniques were analyzed in tobacco-growing areas around Qingjing river. The results indicated that: (1) There were 20 species of infectious disease, more than 90 species within 25 families, 8 orders in 2 classes of insects pests, more than 80 species within 7 orders in 2 classes of their natural enemies. (2) After using matrine, the chemical compositions of middle and lower leaves were more harmonious. The composite score of smoking quality of middle leaves was higher than CK. Matrine had better efficiency for Helicoverpa assulta and Myzus persicae. (3) By using integrated control techniques, the occurrence of tobacco diseases and insects pests and the cost for control decreased largely, and the outputs and quality of tobacco leaves increased.
