Effect of Soil Types on Tobacco Growth and Development:a Review

Soil is one of the most important ecological factors for the growth of tobacco. Different soil types have significant effects on the quality of tobacco leaves. The previous studies on the effects of soil types on the growth of tobacco were reviewed. The characteristics of different soil types, the characteristics of tobacco root development on soil types and the effect of different soil types on tobacco leaf qualities were analyzed and summarized as well. The future research on soil types was also suggested.
