Using SBSE-TDS-GC/MS to Determine Volatile and Semi-volatile Components in Tobacco

    • The volatile and semi-volatile components in tobacco were analyzed by using stir bar sorptive extraction coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The test conditions affecting extraction effect was optimized, and three main factors affecting thermal desorption (desorption temperature, desorption time, cold hydrazine temperature) were also investigated by orthogonal test. The average relative standard deviation (RSD) of peak areas of 32 components for 6 determinations was less than 10%. Therefore, this method can meet the requirements for rapid analysis of the batches of tobacco samples.
