Study on Quality Characteristics of Tobacco Leaves from Mountainous Lands in Qiannan

Some representative tobacco leaf samples were selected from mountainous lands in Qinnan, Guizhou province to evaluate aroma style, flavor characteristics, chemical composition, physical characteristics, smoking quality, and industrial availability of tobacco leaves. The results showed that these leaves had the following characteristics: golden-yellow color, loose leaf structure, moderate thickness, sufficient oil, good elasticity, balance of principal flavor, pure and elegance smoke incense, outstanding sweet style. The tobacco leaves was a typical representative of the middle flavor, with high compatibility, strong affinity and high value in cigarette group formulations.
