    Application of High Efficient Combustion De-sulfate Agent in Bulk Curing Barn

    • The application effect of high efficient combustion de-sulfate agent was investigated to improve the coal combustion performance, reduce harmful gas emission of coal combustion during curing process of tobacco leaves. The results showed that addition of 3% combustion de-sulfate agent to coal could improve the combustion performance and increase the hearth temperature. For middle leaves, coal consumption reduced 0.13 kg coal per kg dry leaves and curing cost reduced 10.71%. But for upper leaves, coal consumption reduced 0.06 kg per kg dry leaves and 4.39%. Emission of carbon oxide, nitrides and sulfides decreased. Emission of SO2 decreased more than by 77%. Also more energy was saved and less smoke was emitted. Meanwhile, there were no negative influences on leaf appearance, sensory quality, leaf grading, chemical composition when 3% combustion de-sulfate agent was added to coal.
