Abstract
Effects of Climatic factors on growth, quality and style of flue-cured tobacco were studied by different seeding and transplanting time in field experiment. The results showed that Climatic factors influenced growth stages of flue-cured tobacco. Compared with the control, field growth stage increased by 23, 14 day if transplanted 20, 10 days earlier, while growth stage reduced 2, 12 days if transplanted 10, 20 days later. With transplanting dates delaying, starch content of tobacco leaves significantly increased, but no change pattern was observed for the others chemical components. Climatic factors had some effects on tobacco leaf aroma style and sensory quality. With transplanting dates delaying, the upper and middle tobacco leaf aroma style changed from unique delicate aroma style to rich flavor. With the condition of this study, if transplanting time advanced 10 days, the climatic condition was favorable for better leaf sensory quality and unique delicate aroma style.
