Abstract: Xiangyan 7, a new flue-cured tobacco variety, was selected by the pedigree method with the self bred new line YZ206-MO-10 as the female parent and K326 as the recurrent male parent. It was approved by the National Tobacco Variety Approval Committee in 2020. The variety has stable genetic characters, strong field growth, resistance to early flowering, easy baking, resistance to black shank, medium resistance to bacterial wilt, and its comprehensive resistance is better than K326; The main economic characters, appearance quality and sensory quality were better than those of Yunyan 87 and K326, and the chemical indexes and physical properties were equivalent to those of Yunyan 87 and K326; The comprehensive quality is equivalent to K326 and Yunyan 87. Xiangyan 7 is an excellent new variety with coordinated quality, disease resistance and yield. It is suitable to be planted in Central China tobacco areas, South China tobacco areas and Southeast China tobacco areas.
