Abstract: Abstract：Longjiang 912, the new variety of flue-cured tobacco was developed from a cross between Longjiang 851(Windel) and Coker 176, by the pedigree method, passed the evaluation of China Tobacco Variety Evaluation Committee in 2007. Longjiang 912 was moderately resistant to black shank, resistant to brown spots, immune to TMV, moderately susceptible to bacterial wilt, high susceptible to CMV and PVY. The main economic traits of Longjiang912 were better than that of the check NC89, with consistent appearance of quality to NC89. Longjiang912 had harmonious proportion chemical components in flue-cured tobacco, and better sensory quality than NC89. Leaf-silk yielding rate and the filling rate of Lonjiang912 were better than NC89. It has the distinctive variety characteristics of Heilongjiang tobacco .
