Abstract: In order to increase cultivation level and quality of flue-cured tobacco for the two major tobacco brands (Qingjiangyuan and Jinshennong) in Hubei province, by using the method of quality analysis and statistics, the appearance quality, the harmony of chemical components and sensory quality for flue-cured tobacco of C3F grading were analyzed. The results indicated that: (1) for tobacco leaves of Qingjiangyuan, the average scores of appearance quality and sensory quality were 87.08 and 86.35 respectively, the nicotine content was suitable, total sugar content was slightly higher than 30%, and sugar and nicotine contents were harmonious. (2) For tobacco leaves of Jinshennong, the average scores of appearance quality and sensory quality were 88.17 and 86.08 respectively, the average nicotine content was less than 2.5%, total sugar content was slightly higher than 30%, and sugar and nicotine contents were not very harmonious.
