Abstract: Regionalization of tobacco with characteristics is tremendously significant to optimize tobacco resource configuration, reasonably arrange tobacco production, demonstrate leaf tobacco characteristics and improve tobacco qualities. The following issues concerning current regionalization of tobacco with characteristics are discussed. (1) The regionalization of tobacco with characteristics is based on tobacco quality characteristics and ecological conditions. (2) The concepts and characteristics of tobacco typical area and type area are suggested; (3) Suggestion is proposed on sub-regionalization, special type and boundary line in tobacco regionalization.
